Botox is the purified
Botulinum toxin type A, which is an exotoxin produced by
“Clostridium Botulinum". It exerts its effect by paralyzing skeletal
muscle. Its action is temporary and lasts for 2 to 4 months.
Common Indications:
Therapeutic: Benign essential Blepharospasm, Hemifacial Spasm,
Senile Entropion, Chemo tersohaphy, Upper eyelid retraction,
Aberrant regeneration of VII nerve etc.
Cosmetic: Facial wrinkles, Crows feet, horizontal forehead wrinkles,
and glabeller furrows, Chemical brow lift.

Safety:
Botox is quite safe and temporary side effects like pain, bruising,
tenderness, mild headache or drooping of eyelid can occur.
Botox is not used in presence of peripheral motor neuropathy,
neuromuscular junction disorders like Myasthenia gravis. Pregnancy,
areas of active infection, known hypersensitivity to any ingradent
in the formulation.
