TEA GARDEN EYE SCREENING CAMP

Chandraprabha Eye Hospital has
been organizing eye screening programs at various tea gardens of
Jorhat, Golaghat and Sivasagar district under Phanidhar Bordoloi
Memorial Trust to provide surgical and treatment services. Since
2008 we have organized 20 eye screening camps and examined about
4000 persons at the camps. At camps we identify cataract and other
surgery needed patients and transport them to our hospital at Jorhat
and provide surgery free of cost. Till now we have done about 900
cataract and other eye surgeries for the patients of tea gardens. We
also offer free accommodation, food and transportation to the Tea
garden patients at our hospital. From this year two camps per month
to be conducted in tea gardens. Now we are also planning to start a
comprehensive eye care programme covering all the tea gardens of
these three districts |
