What is LASIK?

LASER ASSISTED IN SITU KERATOMILEUSIS

LASIK (Laser Assisted in situ Keratomileusis) is a surgical procedure, by which a thin layer of tissue called a “flap” is created on the surface of the cornea. With the flap lifted away, a laser delivers light energy to the cornea. This reshapes the cornea, allowing light rays to focus properly on the retina, providing sharp, clear vision. Following the procedure, the flap is folded back in place and serves as a natural bandage, allowing your eye to heal quickly with minimal discomfort.
